I’m a misfit but that’s okay..

April 29th, 2009

I updated the reading lists and I also updated my TCG log. Everything has been virtually abandoned in new found freedom from TT280. I have restarted the new layout ,for the the fiftyth time. I have decided to handdraw the bits around the container. Here’s a hint. It’s black and white. Excited? I can tell.

The T189 starts on the 1st ,but for some reason I can’t seem to access the forums. Trying to tell me something already ? phfft..

I haven’t started any of the newer book titles in my reading pile because I am  waiting on Hide by Lisa Gardner that I bought on eBay the other day. The seller has left positive feedback already ,so I am assuming that he/she has posted it in the last day or so.

I signed for for ReaditSwapit , but to be honest I couldn’t bare to swap any of my reads. I am boring and usually stick with the authors on my preferred list  and more often than not I preorder and have them read within a week of release ,so none of the swap it titles on there appeal to me.  Mores to the point-Why would I want to pass them on again? I do reread from time to time..

We had an ‘Inday’ today meaning we didn’t go anywhere so nothng remotely interesting happened.. I made Chicken Fajitas for lunch today if that tickles your fancy ?

I think I’m just gonna make a hot water bottle and head off to bed, the MP3 player is charged so I’m gone.

take a different angle

April 27th, 2009

I have been scouting around and have decided to buy myself a macro wide angle lens for the Nikon. My polarising filter arrived this morning and I have spent a good part of the afternoon playing with it, so I have been seriously impressed and inspired to see what else I can come up with.

And the small fact the the most of the students who are on the T189 are seriously, seriously talented. Time to pull your finger out Tehya and get this started.

Recommended per any week of study;

  • spend 2–3 hours reading and making notes on material from this website
  • spend around 1 hour doing the various activities through the text in each session
  • spend about 4 hours doing the weekly photo assignment and sharing your work in OpenStudio
  • spend 2–3 hours watching video tutorials on how to use Photoshop Elements to improve your photo editing skills and then practising on your own images.
OH. Lots of work!
Earlier this evening ,I cranked open the desktop that I traded with Will ,and the base unit is wonderful-very fast and what have you. But the monitor I’m using is pants. The resolution is horrid for some reason, so we are off tomorrow morning to buy me a new monitor! Will has picked one out from err somewhere ,so we’ll pop out and collect it from the said somewhere. I let Will do most of these things because it makes him happy when he can geek out about things like that. As long as it works then I’m happy!
I finished Say Goodbye. Wow. Gripping, intense stuff that was. Seriously impressed with her style, fantastic plot line.
It will make your skin crawl…So if you read it or have read it then you will get line okay ?
Bed.

The host with the most

April 27th, 2009

It seems like forever ago when I had the issues when my previous host. They lost a weeks worth of posts and really did not give a hoot about it. I have multiple domains so I needed to find homes for them ,and to be honest I had no idea where to start. It’s easy enough to use a search engine and go looking for cheap web hosting, but would I be getting real value for money plus a reliable host ?

I used webhostinggeeks to find myself a new host, and found it be an invaluable resource. I did actually find my current host using their service and I am more than happy with the result. I found the customer reviews particularly helpful when making the decision as the were from actual customers who didn’t hold anything back if they were unhappy with that particular host.

I really should take the time to add my own experience regarding my current hosts as reading through some of the reviewers comments has left me a little annoyed. I have never experienced any downtime whatsoever with them. The account was activated instantly and at any stage when I did require support from them it was answered within minutes. Not to mention all the sweet little addons that I got in my package! I am a very happy customer indeed.

I think I should just cut and paste that little passage :)
