Much appreciation goes to both kidlets for their hard work in making sure that I wasn’t left out. Will is on the verge he hasn’t quite fallen over the edge just yet, but he will ,oh he Will..

I have finalised the new layout sketch, and while I was at it I decided to go with a different colour scheme. As per usual , my fine decision making skills come to the fore…Despite appearing  to be like a broken record ,I repeat.I AM A GENIUS..Okay I’m not , but let me dream eh ? Expect a new layout sometime near December 2011  because I just  know that I will change my mind once again..

I called the OU Student Registration this morning and have went ahead and have now enrolled on the T189. Nothing like being decisive, grabbing the bull by the horns and all that crap. Yes, I am being lazy but pushing back the TT281 until October, but truth be hold here; I don’t know if I really want to continue with the Web Certificate. I have a really low boredom threshold but I am not a quitter. I may not want to carry on with the Web Design , but I have signed up for the TT280 ,we are a few weeks away from the end of the course. So I will see it through.

The T189 begins in early May , so time to bring out the Nikkor 70-300mm lens and the Nikon SB600 flash that I purchased not that long ago. I also want to install PSP X2 on the desktop ,the digital photography course uses PhotoShop Elements 5 ,which it supplies as part of the course. But my weapon of choice is PSP!

So, I have been some thinking about the Open University course..Pondering my next move..The next step in the web certificate is course TT281, The client side of application development. I have felt quite disappointed with the TT280 in terms of what needs to be learned in such a short space of time. I have a little background knowledge in HTML so making the transition to XHTML has not been that difficult. But,I don’t know what exactly I was expecting – possibly a little more hands on coding? More coding from the ground up perhaps? Regardless , my interest in Web Development has waned slightly ,so I am a little hesitant in continuing down that path. I can’t say that the course reviews for TT281 have helped much either.

I think , the smartest thing for me to do is to take a timeout with the web development. The TT281 registration closes on the 17th of April..although it does begin again in October ,so I do think that jumping on the T189; Digital Photography ,which also starts in May  is a better choice. It will give me a bit more breathing space (and thinking space) to decide. The T189 is a separate course, nothing to do with the Web Development Certificate. I need to remember that my participation is purely for personal development. It is just for fun really, because I am interested in the subject matter. I don’t have any grand ideas or aspirations to pursue a career in Web Development. FUN..that is all..

Aside from that , I have been a naughty girl and obtained a few New Kids on the Block albums by nefarious means – oh the evils of the InterWeb.. I bought the recent reunion effort and apart from the track SummerTime , it was a thrown together piece of vomit. A proper waste of £14 that was..So I have gone backwards and reached into the time-vaults when JoeyJoe was still a sweet,squeaky prepubescent sweetie.. as was I many moons ago. Hey- he’s old and married and so am I!

I really need to update the coursework record , not to mention my booklist. I also need to finish the new layout.

I’ve been lost in bookville yet again, so the to do list has been thrown to the side for the time being. One thing I cannot put aside is starting the ECA for the TT280. The course ends on the 24th of April , so I do need to make start on that very shortly.

Trouble had a cold yesterday so he stayed at home with me instead of heading over to the grandparents home for the usual weekend visit. He curled up in our bed with Wills’ laptop table and drew pictures whilst watching cartoons. A lazy day for him, he said he enjoyed himself anyways. Bubble was fine until this morning, when he started sneezing. He has been pretty bad today actually, he has just turned two ,so he is unable to cope with the sneezing and runny noses. He has woken twice tonight already ,crying because he can’t breathe properly. He is wearing Karvol (a kiddies decongestant) but evidently it doesn’t seem to be helping him very much. There he goes again..

He settles again pretty fast once you go up and give him a cuddle. Poor little man, he has his two year development assessment on the 31st, but I will have to reschedule I think.
